Scott McGregor
General Manager

Scott McGregor serves as General Manager of The Gate Golf Club, bringing more than 30 years of experience in high-volume food and beverage, resort, and golf venue operations.
Scott has held senior leadership roles in the openings of Topgolf Gilbert, Arizona, and Topgolf’s flagship venue in Las Vegas, where he helped establish best-in-class guest experiences and operational excellence. He was also an integral leader with the Palmas Restaurant Group at Walt Disney World Resort, overseeing major F&B operations through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and NBA Bubble.
Most recently, Scott served as Senior Director of Food & Beverage at South Seas Resort in Captiva, Florida, where he guided his team through extensive renovations and the rebuilding of the iconic property. His leadership contributed to the successful opening of five new restaurants and a state-of-the-art water park.
In his free time, Scott enjoys spending it with his wife, Ashley, and their son, Thor, exploring the beautiful beaches of Southwest Florida.
Jeffrey Raimer, PGA
Director of Golf

Jeffrey Raimer has been appointed Director of Golf at The Gate Golf Club and will oversee the operation of the Peter Jacobsen–designed 9-hole course and golf operations; coordinate golf-related events; and supervise golf employees. Raimer was previously Director of Golf at Twin Creeks CC in Austin, TX; Hollytree CC in Tyler, TX; West Bay Club; The Golf Club at Fiddler’s Creek; and, prior to that, Bay Colony Golf Club in Naples.
Raimer began his golf career in 1984 and has numerous achievements: named “Golf Professional of the Year,” “Merchandiser of the Year,” and Bill Strausbaugh Award, in both Chapter and Section affairs.
Raimer is a Past President of the South Florida Section, PGA, along with being elected into the SFPGA Hall of Fame in 2015. He has been a PGA member since 1987.
Raimer is a native of Wisconsin and moved to Naples in 1982. He is married to his wife Jolie and has three children: Devon, Joshua, and Bailee Jo; grandson Knox; and granddaughter Kinley, and is expecting their third grandchild in June.
Jeff is an avid sports fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers & Bucks.
Michael Shafer
Golf Course Superintendent

Michael joined The Gate Golf Club in March 2025 during the initial construction phase. He relocated to Naples from West Palm Beach, where he served for many years as Golf Course Superintendent at High Ridge Country Club. He is a graduate of Lake City Community College with a degree in ornamental horticulture and is a long-standing member of both the GCSAA and the FGCSA.
In his free time, he enjoys sports in general, but mainly golfing and cruising with his wife.
Zachary Allen
Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

After graduating from Rutgers University in 2012, Zach served as Superintendent of a public golf course in Michigan for 4 years. In 2016, Zach moved to Florida and has since served as Assistant Superintendent for Wyndemere, Grey Oaks, Twin Eagles and Audubon Country Clubs. In August 2025, Zach joined The Gate Golf Club team.
With lots of experience at both low-budget and high-end golf courses, Zach knows how to efficiently utilize personnel and resources to provide great playing conditions.
